America’s favorite coffee shop is going all out with a brand new location. Think cocktails, mixology classes, tasting flights, and other unique experiences. All of these perks are coming to a 23,000-square-foot, three-floor Starbucks Reserve location, slated to open on November 16 in New York City’s Empire State Building.

Like other Starbucks Reserve Roasteries, the new store will serve a wide variety of coffee options, including the chain’s classic and seasonal favorites, as well as Starbucks Reserve signature beverages like the Hazelnut Bianco Latte and Whiskey Barrel Aged Cold Brew. However, what sets the location apart is that it will be the only store to serve drinks made with Cold Pressed Espresso technology, which uses cold water and gentle, upward pressure to produce a softer, sweeter espresso shot that resembles a slow-steeped cold brew.
And what would a Starbucks Reserve be without its selection of boozy beverages? Not only will fans be able to order classic, signature, and coffee-inspired cocktails, but they will also have the chance to make the drinks themselves.
That’s because the store is offering several in-house experiences, such as small ticketed group classes led by both baristas and mixologists, who will teach participants how to create different coffee and alcoholic beverages. Customers can also try various menu items by ordering tasting flights, in addition to food pairings provided by Princi—Starbucks Reserve’s exclusive food purveyor.
While this is the first Reserve to open in the Empire State Building, Starbucks has operated stores in the famous skyscraper since 2008. The new location will be the second New York City-based Reserve, joining five other Reserve Roasteries in Seattle, Shanghai, Milan, Tokyo, and Chicago.
“For almost three decades we have grown alongside the city of New York, where people from around the world gather to connect, explore, and share ideas,” Mark Ring, SVP of U.S. retail at Starbucks, said in a statement. “The Starbucks Reserve Empire State Building store will bring people together in this diverse and dynamic city over incredible coffee and food experiences that celebrate human connection, which is at the heart of the Starbucks Experience.”
